MALACAÑANG, Philippines — The President Rodrigo Duterte signed a Executive Memo giving instruction to Department of Social Worker and Development (DSWD) to send two plane loads of relief toys, crayons and play dohs to curb the growing violence instigated by Anti-Trump protesters after the loss of Hillary Clinton in the recent presidential election.
DSWD Secretary Judy Taguiwalo received the memo and immediately instructed his procurement departments to gather the donated toys from the US for victims of typhoon and return the aid back to the US, saying, “They’ll be needing this more than we do. It’s a war zone there with all these crying and heel kicking.”
Moreover, Sec. Taguiwalo added that they will be shipping eight truck loads of baby diapers for the protesters.
Additional toys are also coming from the private sector. In a text message, from Jollibee CEO Rex Tanmantiong, Sec. Taguiwalo said that she received go-signal from the CEO himself to pick up the toys Jollibee gathered for “Maaga ang Pasko” toys gift giving program.
Sec. Taguiwalo also added that President and CEO of Golden Arches Development, the proprietor of the huge international chain McDonald’s has also given her go-signal to pick up their Happy Meal Toys.
